In Praza do Corgo, next to the port and the fish market, a man, a woman, and a child aboard a 'dorna' pay tribute to the families who make a living from the sea.

Sculpted in stone by the Galician Alfonso Vilar Lamelas in 1972, it is one of the symbols of O Grove. It represents a shellfishing family in a 'dorna', the traditional boat of the Galician 'rías'.

Its location is not accidental: fishing, shellfish gathering, and canning have always been the basis of life in O Grove, and the square is next to the fishing port and the fish market.

Praza do Corgo is also the heart of the Festa do Marisco, which has been celebrated every autumn since 1963.
