House Tower of Escuredo
It has an L-shaped plan, two floors and an attic. At the top, a square glass lantern with a hip roof stands out, and on the facade, balconies and galleries alternate. Next to the house stands a two-story square tower.
It is closely linked to the journalist and poet Luis Antonio Mestre, who lived in it for much of his life; his father had bought the property upon returning from Cuba. It later passed to the businessman Eugenio Escuredo, from whom it takes its name.
The property preserves wooded gardens, a circular dovecote, and a high stone wall. Some say that its cypress trees are those that appear on the coat of arms of O Grove.
- Visit: it is private property; it can be viewed from the street.
